David Finn, Psy.D., is the owner and Director of A.H.D.C. As an evaluator and clinician, Dr. Finn is objective and compassionate in his approach.
Dr. Finn earned his doctorate in clinical psychology at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology.
Dr. Finn is a Court Appointed Evaluator in Lake, McHenry, Kane, Kendall and DuPage Counties, providing 604.10c and 215(a) evaluations. He is a published author who has presented locally and nationally, including to the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, Illinois Bar Association, Kane County Bar Association, Cook County Guardian ad Litem training, Texas Center for the Judiciary, Texas Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and the Forensic Forum of Chicago, serving as the President of the Forensic Forum in 2014. Dr. Finn is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and the American Psychological Association.
Carol Reid, Psy.D. is a lead clinician and the Clinical Director. As the lead clinician, she provides individual, family and group therapies. Dr. Reid’s approach is to collaborate with clients, helping them define the areas they wish to focus on, while also providing feedback at addressing the conflicts that arise. With over ten years of experience, Dr. Reid is able to focus in on the challenges one is experiencing and help develop alternative strategies.
Dr. Reid earned her doctorate in psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has been a licensed clinical psychologist since 2007. She teaches at the graduate level, educating future counselors and psychologists, while also providing training and supervision to those students.
Dr. Reid’s clinical areas of interest include: co-parenting, emotional regulation, ADHD and learning disabilities, anxiety and depression, as well as parent-child relationship concerns. Dr. Reid coordinates the Family Ties program, providing therapeutic guidance to repair parent-child relationships.
Fareha Ansari, M.A., is a staff therapist, providing individual, family and parenting interventions. As a former trainee, Fareha joined our staff after earning her Master’s of Arts in Counseling from Roosevelt University. She has completed training in the use of Positive Parenting, and facilitates parent education and development of strategies to cope with difficult behaviors throughout the lifespan.
Violeta Suarez Hidalgo is the Executive Administrative Assistant to Dr. Finn. She coordinates and schedules appointments with Dr. Finn.
Tanya Little is the Office Manager at A.H.D.C.
Every year, A.H.D.C. is proud to work with graduate school programs and train future therapists. Our trainees possess the knowledge and skills to assist clients in reaching their full potential. They provide supervised and therapeutic visitation, individual and family therapies, and co-facilitate group therapies.
